 Taken by John Gilmour N.P.. Taken on production in Edinburgh on that date by Alexander Douglas as procurator for Simon Lord Fraser of Lovat and Sir Alexander Fraser of Fraserburgh of letters and contract between them and Alex. Fraser sometime of Durris and Robert his eldest son dated Edinburgh 21 Oct 1616, and resigned into the hands of the Crown the lands of Carnbulg in barony of Phillorth for new infeftment under the Great Seal  by the Crown as superior to said Alex. Fraser of Durris in liferent &amp; son in fie and also lands &amp; etc. of Innernorth, new mill of Phillorth etc occupied by tenant Thomas Pirie lands of Tillicuthill, Bruxie, Ardleys, Boyhlid, Cowbortie, Brigend, Urinell, Dadiezell, lands of Faithlie called the fieldlands and ackeris of Fraserburgh, water and windmills  etc. etc. Reserving to Sir Alex. Fraser the toune and fortalice of Fraserburgh in said burgh in various clauses of warrandice on behalf of Elizabeth Maxwell his wife her life rents rights.
