Letters of reversion granted at Edinburgh by Alex. chalmer, son of the late Alex. Chalmer, portioner at Tyrie, in favour of Sir Alexander Fraser of Phillorth etc. Follows from contract ,of 22 September 1602 and feu charter respecting redemption of middle third of lands of Cowbourtrie - see 2701/39- for 1000 merks & 5 Years tack from redemption of the said lands - casualties & service similar to those in 2701/38, see ref. 297/6, old 6.& farm and clauses the same. Also witnessed by Thomas Fraser, Annand, Kennedy & Stuart. Registration at Aberdeen by J. Mowat on 24 July 1605 is recorded at foot of ins. Same scribe. 6 July 1605
