Assignation by James Balianquall of that ilk in favour of John, E. of Mar respecting lands etc. mentioned in decreet of adjudication and disposition and assignation thereof. Decreet as it extends to sums due following on bond granted to Balianquall's deceased father David Balianquall of that ilk by the deceased , Charles E. of Mar on 7 Oct 1678 and also assignation or translation involving Thomas Lundie of Glaswell on 29 July 1690. Total sum had become £8380:6:8 plus interest outstanding by the time present deed was granted. Balianquall served heir to his father on 6 Mar 1699. Thomas Lundie by disposition and assignation of 5 Aug 1701 had granted to James B. rights earlier assigned to him in decreet of adjudication and these are now transferred to John, E. of Mar. MS breaks of in middle of 13th sheet so that date and place of signature etc. is unknown. Here because of sums claimed from Andrew, Lord Fraser on behalf pof C. of Mar, his widow. No refs.
