<dc:description>Decreet and actions extracted by Alex. Gibson in favour of the Town of Aberdeen and William Garrioch against the creditors of Charles, Lord Fraser.
[On November 20, 1677 ? advised for Wm. Garrioch with the affidavit for proving his procuratory, Lord Newton].
Inmargin of first sheet are two notes dated as Nov. 1677 and 12 Jan. 1678 regarding production of various writs etc. to prove and ascertain Wm. Garrioch mentioned herein.
Too detailed to summarise. Apparently follows earlier decreets of adjudication against Lord Fraser for himself as his fathert's executor.
Among the creditors mentioned is Patrick Gellie, master of mortifications of Aberdeen or his successors for use of mortifications of Thomas Crombie of Kemnay --- to principal regents and bursars of the College Mrrshell of Aberdeen (concerning James Smith & Nether Corskie) Wm. Garioch asks to be released for payment of 3333 merks before others including pursuer, as original bond and infeftment anterior in date and this is upheld by their lordships if Garioch can prove his infeftment therein etc. [Endorsement in dorso at end of extract is the only place where Town of Aberdeen is mentioned along with Garioch.</dc:description>
