  <dc:description>Notarial copy (attested at Edinburgh on 6th April 1678 by John Jaffrey N.P. &amp; William Gordon, N.P., 4 sheets) of Decreet of Adjudication given in favour of James Riddell, merchant in edinburgh against Charles, Lord Fraser [old refs (19) &amp; first five or six lines imperfect - worn away] Pursuer had obtained on 17 Dec. 1675 a decreet in his favour against Charles, Lord Fraser, only son &amp; retoured heir or apparent of of the late Andrew, Lord Fraser or charges to enter heir to his father for payment to pursuer of 2600 merks principal &amp; exe....  as in bond by deceased Andrew, Lord Fraser to pursuer of 21 Feb. 1666 &amp; also a second to John Painstoun, vintner burgess of Edinburgh of 31st July 1673 assigned to pursuer on 3 January 1675, who obtained deliverance of Council of Session letters of special charge to enter heir against Charles now Lord Fraser similar to 238 supra but total sums of money due are not inserted [?also blank in original]. In dorso is similarly attested copy of allowance (respecting infeftment etc) given by Thomas Wallace &amp; James Foulis at Edin. on 28 July 1676.</dc:description>
