  <dc:description>Legal action against Alex. Burnet, merchant in Aberdeen since 8 Mar. 1671 for 1000 merks, Sir John Keith of Keithhall &amp; others since 1 Mar. 1664 for 1,000 merks; Alex., now Lord Saltoun and Alex. Master of Saltoun, (Alex. Fraser, Elder &amp; younger of Phillorth,) since 231 Aug 1668 for £1000 Sc.; - Lord Fraser, since 4 July 1666, for 2,000 merks (half of which has been paid); Thomas Logie, merchant in Aberdeen since 2 Feb. 1671 for £100 etc.etc. Seeing that the bishop's name was only borrowed and all the sums were in reality part of the estate ofthe deceased Alex. Scrogie, minister at Old Aberdeen, his brother, who has entrusted him with the management of his affairs and nominated him as hisexecutor &amp; assigned all theses sums &amp; others to him., now wishes to denude himself of rights etc. in favour of William Scrogie now commissary of Argyll, his nephew &amp; eldest son of his deceased brother &amp; proceeds to do so (including inhibitions and letters of apprisine against against Thomas Johnstoun + others named for sums due by them).
