  <dc:description>Discharge granted at Muchall by Thomas Fraser, eldest son of marriage between the late Andrew, Lord Fraser, and Elizabeth Creichtoun, his last wife, and his other children of this marriage, James, Margaret and Elizabeth Fraser, and their mother, the said Elizabeth Creichtoun, in favour of Andrew, now Lord Fraser,(their half-brother), on his granting of disposition on this date to step-mother in liferent &amp; her children  in fee, heirs of whom failing, to return to Andrew, Lord Fraser or his heirs, respecting parts of barony of Cairnbulg (Mains, Seatoun with seafishing and boats, castle etc. &amp; pendicles) &amp; tiends thereof in parish of Rathen. Multures , however, are reserved  to Lord Fraser &amp; astricted to new milne of Philorth. Lands to be disponed to Thomas Fraser in fee with burden of £10,000 to be divided between his brother and sisters &amp; in security they are to be infeft after mother's death in mains of Cairnbulg to be divided equally among them.
 If Thomas and James died after their mother without heirs male, their half-brother may redeem lands on payment of £10,000 Sc.o be shared by heirs female. Provision for increased marriage ortions for girls if brothers have no heirs. Lord Fraser to be relieved of teind duties etc. as from Whit. 1670 and Thomas Fraser etc. also to pay share of stipend of minister at  Rathen in money and victual. Clauses regarding formalities to be gone through to obtain infeftment, etc. included, re ratification by women &amp; registration.
