  <dc:title>Contract signed between Andrew fraser of Stoneywood and others and John Fraser in Innernorth.</dc:title>
  <dc:description>Contract signed at Muchall between Andrew fraser of Stoneywood etc. and John Fraser now in Innernorth, son and heir of the late Michael Fraser. The said lands of Innernorth and pertinents in parish of rathen had been wadset by the late Sir Alex. fraser of Fraserburgh to the late Michael Fraser under reversion of 1900 merks, John was lawful heir to rights therein from his father and Andrew Fraser had become heritable proprietor thereof and obtained assignation to said reversion. He had entered into a process against John Fraser for a declarator of redemption &amp; has also right to tiendsheaves &amp; vicarage and lands of Innernorth &amp; had entered into process against said John [and 3 others] for spoilation of said tiends. Nevertheless agreed that Andrew Fraser shall discharge John Fraser from process of redemption and that Andrew etc. will not be able to redeem said lands for less than 2000 merks with removal at folllowing whitsunday &amp; payment by John Fraser yearly during non-redemption of 50 merks duty yearly &amp; for crop on ground at time of redemption, 2 chalders of victual (one of meal and one of bere) &amp; tiendsheaves  etc.
£12 Sc. yearly, receipt of £12 for 1626 being now acknowledged. Discharge granted by John Fraser to Andrew respecting his portion of the meadow land of Innernorth now to pass to Andrew. Includes procuratory of registration. Duly signed and witnessed.
 At foot is appended record of registration in register of the clerk of the sheriffdom of Aberdeen on 15 Nov. 1627 (leaves 22-24 of  ?6th book) by J. Mowat on presentation by Master james Forbes of Haughtoun (?).
