  <dc:description>Collection of letters, mainly addressed to William Stewart of Carnaveran. These letters relate principally to financial, commissary and local affairs but also include personal correspondence. There is also a letter from Andrew Rutherford to James Denham regarding the depute clerk of session (1840) and correspondence concerning the lease of salmon fishing off Catterline from the Crown between D. Horne and Lord Arbuthnott and John Irving (1847). There is in addition an undated manuscript which gives measurements of property belonging to Reverend Patrick Stewart.</dc:description>
