  <dc:description>Letters of inhibition granted under the signet at Edinburgh (signed etc. 7 August) on 30 July 1680 at the instance of Master John Hay, parson at Rathven, having been presented to the said kirk by John Hay of Echres [see MS 2264/100 and MS 2264/101] as in letters of presentation in 1668 and "Collection by Patrick, bishop of Aberdeen on 9 April 1669 for his admission to the charge, giving right to teinds, parsonage, etc. for this year 1680 which remain unpaid by heritors &amp; others from whom they are due in spite of earlier letters of inhibition previously raised against them. Record of their being served on 29 August 1680 is given in dorso.</dc:description>
