Menzies, James Seton and George Stranachyn, on 22 November 1588  in Town House, affirming that the late  Gilbert Menzies of Pitfodels, burgess of Aberdeen, grandfather of Gilbert Menzies of Fyndone, burgess of said burgh, died in reign of James VI and that the said Gilbert Menzies of Findone was his nearest heir and of full age but had not been retoured in any lands or annual rents. [found among MSS. respecting hospital at Rathven, Banffshire.] On paper, in Latin.</dc:description>
