  <dc:description>Letters concerning the Greek papers of Thomas Gordon which [his grandson] Charles Thomas Gordon wished to have assessed and translated. Two letters (MS 1160/24/1/1-2) are from Joannes Gennadius, London, to C. T. Gordon in which he acknowledges receipt of the manuscripts and his inability to deal with them. MS 1160/24/1/3 is from C. T. Gordon to Gennadius requesting the return of the documents and MS 1160/24/1/4 is from John Abercromby, Edinburgh, reporting on the brief examination of the papers made by his daughter.
