<dc:title>Draft letter from Robert Beale to unknown recipient</dc:title>
<dc:description>Draft letter in Latin, one page, with opening salutation 'S.P. Clariss[im]e vir'

Abstract:
In Beale's hand. Refers to the acquisition of a work of Cicero. Comments on the prolonged wars of religion in the recipient's country.
[Abstract by James D. George]

On the reverse Beale has noted an outline for recording the details of birth, marriage, and death of a woman:
	Vxor / A.B. filia --------/ maritata anno ( apud) /mortua apud. / sepulta apud
(Wife / A.B. daughter of -------/ married in the year (at) /died at / buried at)
George suggests that this is the outline of a memorial inscription to a woman, possibly Beale's mother Amy </dc:description>
