ActivityCharles Kenneth Scott-Moncreiff was born in 1889 and educated at Winchester and at Edinburgh University, graduating MA in 1914. During the First World War he served as Captain in the 3rd. King’s Own Scottish Borderers, and was awarded the Military Cross. After the war he became a translator, producing versions of the work of Marcel Proust and Luigi Pirandello. In Who’s Who, his stated recreation was ‘nepotism’. He died unmarried in 1930.
