ActivityJohn Cassels Pinkerton (1905-71) was the City Assessor for Glasgow from 1935 to 1960, and became President of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors in 1952. His wife, Mary Banks Pinkerton (1911-80) served on East Kilbride Development Corporation and Lanark County Council, as well as on various other committees such as the SWRI, the Red Cross, and the Scottish Conservative Association.
