ActivityCharles D'Orville Pilkington Jackson (1887-1973), sculptor, was born at Garlennick, Cornwall, the son of Louis Pilkington Jackson. He studied sculpture at Edinburgh College of Art. From 1910-1911 he studied at the British School at Rome. He executed architectural and public work all over Scotland, including sculpture on the Scottish National War Memorial and Robert the Bruce, Bannockburn. He married first, in 1916, Eve Dening (d 1951) and second, in 1958, Audrey Ethelwyn O'Brien. He died in 1973.
