ActivityNancy W Angus was the daughter of David Angus (1855-1926) and Mary Wilson. Her father was a civil engineer who spent most of his career in South America- Argentine, Uraguay, Paraguay and Chile, and was involved in railway and harbour construction. He worked on the Victoria and Natividade Railway in Brazil, 1882-1884, and surveyed a railway from Swakopamund to Otavi in Namibia, 1892-1893. He was the manager of the Arauco mining company in Chile, 1894-1909. Nancy Angus' sisters were Anne Proctor, June Stevenson, and Jean Tatham. She worked as a typist in London, and then as a VAD in the First World War. She worked subsequently for the War Graves Commission, and then for the School of Oriental and African Studies.
