ActivityJames Alexander Milne (1869-1909), minister, was born in Auchinblae, Kincardineshire, the son of James M and Christina Anderson. He was educated at Fordoun, the High School, Edinburgh, at home by his uncle, and at Aberdeen University MA, 1890) and the University of Paris. He was licenced by the Presbytery of Fordoun and gained assistant posts at Forgue, Aberdeen and St Andrews. In 1897, after turning down an appointment at Aylth, he was ordained at the Scots Church, Paris. In 1901 he transferred to Lyne and Megget and in 1906 he married Mary Lee, the daughter of John Davis Bowden, Dresden. Milne then moved to the parish of Cramond, where he died in 1909.
