ActivityRonald Campbell Macfie was born in Aberdeen in 1867, and graduated from Aberdeen University MA in 1887 and MB in 1897. In his medical career, which was spent in Scotland and England, he concentrated mainly on sanatoria and hydropathic treatments. He was also a poet, writing odes on various University events and contributing many poems to the Aberdeen University Review. In 1930 he published a series of lectures under the title ‘Science Rediscovers God’. He was awarded an honorary LL.D. by Aberdeen University in 1913. He spent much of his later life in France in a hostel attached to a monastery, and died in London in 1931.
