Description | Slide shows hierarchical diagram of the crossing of the 'Rosecomb' and 'Peacomb' varieties of chickens. Small white label in upper left corner reads: 'Newton & Co. 43 Museum St, London W.C.1.' Newton & Co were manufacturers of lantern slides and had various branches in London. There are three levels on the slide labelled 'P1, F1 and F2'; P1 shows a Rosecomb and Peacomb crossed to produce another variety in F1 which turn results in 4 different possible vareties in F2. Title below image reads 'Fig. 12 - Rosecomb x Peacomb'. |
