The uppermost level begins with two sets of cattle; two white and two red/black[?], with 1 descendant each of the same colour as parents; these two have red[?] descendants; the two red have two sets of descendants, white and red, then black and red, which in turn have two sets of descendants, red and white and black and red respectively.
Title below image reads: 'Fig. 8. - Red x White in the Shorthorn (After Finlay)'.
There is also a label printed vertically on the image which reads: 'From Page 26'.
There is a small white label in the upper left corner of the slide frame which reads 'Newton & Co, 43 Museum St, London W.C.1'.
