Column 1 shows 51 animals grouped within the following families: 'Protozoa'; 'Coelenterata'; 'Vermes'; 'Echinodermata'; 'Mollusca';and 'Arthropoda'. There are symbols on the table which are explained in the following key printed below image: 'In the above table: *enzyme present; - enzyme absent; T trace of enzyme found; ? result doubtful; A autolysis; S slow; (1) genera studied not named.
