| Description | Includes Governing Body supporting papers, sub-committee minutes (some of which appear in the printed Governing Body minutes series), extended agenda notes and accounts. Includes minutes of the sub-committees: Chairman's Commitees, Finance, Law & Property Committee and the Hostels, School & Recruitment Commitee. In 1972 the last Committee was split into two new Commitees, Health & Welfare and the Recruitment Committees. In 1976 a Staff Committee was formed and also a Safety Committee which was a sub-committee of the Health & Welfare Committee. |
| Appraisal | Files have been weeded - copies of Governing Body minutes and shortlists for vacant posts destroyed. Duplicates of Biology newsletters, Standing Orders, Accounts and Annual Reports which are held elsewhere in the archive have also been destroyed. |
| Arrangement | These bundles were in lever arch files in the possession of College Secretary Ian Coghill. The original files have been maintained in their phyiscal bundles.
The post of Secretary was created in 1967 and he was first in post. Although the first three files were collected before the post was created, they were in the possession of Ian Coghill and formed a numerical sequence with the later files. |
