The following information is recorded in the register: number, name of deceased, age and sex, last place of abode, date and place of death, date of removal, how disposed of (claimed by or unclaimed, with teachers name and date sent when sent to school), date of interment, general expense (removal and interment, premium and porterage).

There is also an account of the keeper's (or superintendent's) wages (paid weekly).

The numbers of bodies varies widely: in the early years , 100 bodies and more regularly passed through to the Funeratory. Many of these were claimed by relatives.
