Annotations refer to students serving in the armed services during the First World War and to significant academic achievements (University medals, national prizes, etc.)
A list of Anatomy Department staff, 1899 - 1925, is pasted in the front of the volume. This lists the names of professors, lecturers and assistants employed in the department between these years. Robert W. Reid, 'Professor of Anatomy, 1892-3 - 1924-5' has signed the title page.
