Title | Letter: Gavin Greig, Schoolhouse, Whitehill, New Deer to James Bruce Duncan |
Date | 13 December 1903 |
Extent | 1 item |
Description | Is busy with introduction to J. Scott Skinner's 'Harp and Claymore' which he is editing; [for MS of this see MS 2726]; will send over 'Songs of Robert Burns' when he has finished it; can find only part of report of his own lecture on Scottish song [perhaps MS 998/9/7/2]; looks forward to James Bruce Duncan's lecture at New Deer; has poor opinion of W. Christie 'Traditional Ballad Airs' borrowed from University Library; thinks New Spalding Club proposal to collect folk songs of the north east is feasible; looks for James Bruce Duncan's assistance if work is undertaken. |
