Administrative HistoryThe son of William Corbet of Bieldside, Aberdeenshire, James Corbet completed his tertian year at Marischal College in 1819, but did not graduate. He became a surgeon in the East India Company and completed many years’ service with them, returning to this country in surprisingly good health. His son William graduated AM from Marischal College, and Dr. Corbet died around 1890.
