Robert Workman Smith was elected as Member of Parliament for Central Aberdeenshire in 1924. The collection includes canvassing materials and notes from the 1924 and 1938 general elections, correspondence with constituents, and press cutting albums, one of which features the celebrations for the coronation of King George VI in 1937.
