Administrative History | The Northern Leg Gas Pipeline (NLGP) is a 20-inch pipeline running for 80 km under the northern North Sea, from the Magnus platform to the Brent A platform with spurs to Thistle A, Murchison and Statfjord B. It originally served as the gas export route for these installations and delivered gas to Brent A for onward transmission to the St Fergus gas processing plant in Aberdeenshire via the FLAGS pipeline system, and later served as a gas supply route for some of these platforms. Britoil - the privatised successor to the publicly-owned British National Oil Corporation (BNOC) - oversaw the construction of the NLGP, ownership of which was then shared between various operators including that of Murchison. These volumes contain handover information prepared by Britoil for these operators after its completion. Some manuals and volumes are missing - check the catalogue for details. |
