DescriptionA group of three letters to Professor Mallard and a set of handwritten notes reporting on a meeting of the Joint Research Council Workshop with title 'Advances in Imaging techniques for addressing Fundamental Problems in Life Sciences'.

The first letter dated 14 April 1992 is from Melanie Toms, Food and Engineering Branch, Agricultural and Food Research Council thanks Professor Mallard for participating in the workshop and discusses the arrangements along with a list of likely participants.

Next is Professor Mallard's own notes dated 25 May 1992 on the council meeting with areas of concern for the future of the Aberdeen department highlighted.

Letter dated 12 December 1985 from James Tayler of the Animals Research Committee from the Agricultural and Food Research Council requesting a joint interim report on the objectives, results and proposed programmes in using NMR to monitor growth and development of the pig.

The final letter was from Philip James from The Rowett Research Institute dated 6 December 1985 with a possible research project relating to the joint interim report mentioned above.

The copies that are letters are all original and the notes are a photocopy.
