DescriptionLetters of horning at the instance of William Cruden, merchant and Treasurer of the Burgh of Aberdeen, against Thomas Urquhart as heir to his father Mr John Urquhart.
Two letters, both arising from the marriage contract of John Urquhart and Janet Irvine, relict of John Main merchant in Aberdeen dated 22 March 1715. John Urquhart, minister in Gartly and subsequently at St Andrews, Morayshire, died 19 June (OS) 1725. The charge relates to the liferent for his widow.
The original signet letters were dated 15 April 1757 and 31 October 1758.
