| Description | Scanned copies of Manifold Compression Platform (MCP-01) and related photographs. Some are of the installation (including photographs of the flare, radio tower, control room, and the platform from a distance) but the majority are of the Christmas and New Year celebrations of 1984 and 1987 including the entertainment and meals. Includes scans of the Christmas and New Year menus from the 1980s. A DVD features an hour-long informal 'Day in the Life Of', filmed on MCP-01 in 1991, two short news clips about female North Sea Divers and a 'man overboard' training exercise on MCP-01, and extracts from a short-lived video magazine by Total called 'Tom Beat' that ran for 2 'issues'; and a DVD of the West Crane slew-ring change-out from 1990 (1 hour 13 minutes). |
