Description
Letter from William Cullen, Edinburgh to George Skene in which he discusses a case of hydarthrus; he complained to [David] Skene about George's ambiguity of opinion and throwing the decision and consequences upon him; he cannot easily be reconciled to amputation as it would be hazardous in the current situation with few benefits - if the boy's life is threatened by the abscess, amputation would not save it; he suggests medicines and treatments that may be employed , 18 April 1769.
