Administrative HistoryAndrew Mathieson (born parish of Forgue) farmed at Skene and then at Mosshead, a rented farm on Kemnay estate, until 1909. His son, also Andrew, took over the farm at this date until late 1928 when he gave up the tenancy.

Description31 diaries originally belonging to Andrew Mathieson, farmer at Skene and then Mosshead, covering period 13 August 1878 - 30 September 1908. They provide details of daily work on farm, social life, crops, weather and local people. The beginning of the first volume contains notes on physical geography. Also includes black and white photograph of Andrew Mathieson and photocopy of obituary. [Originally 32 diaries but no. 3 missing from series.]
