| Description | This volume includes programmes for outings undertaken by the Deeside Field Club in the years 1949 to 1958. It also includes suggested routes taken by the Club to their destinations as well as agendas of their annual meetings. The volume is primarily filled with the Club's circulars in relations to their field trips and excursions, and includes circulars about their trips to: Glen Muick, Aboyne Castle Pageant, Craigievar, Monymusk, Birse Castle, Midmar Castle, Invercauld House, Finavon Castle, Druminnor Castle, The Stones of Remembrance, The Kirk and Castle of Glenbuchat. Also contains newspaper cuttings of the Club's visits to these sites and of conservation in the area. The volume also includes extracts from the constitution, summaries of end of year accounts for the years of 1952, 1953, 1955, 1956 and 1957; a record of social evening events; as well as documents relating to the election of office bearers to the council at the University of Aberdeen student's union in 1950. |
