TitleLetter from Adams to John Hargreaves
Date23 May 1986
Extent4 sheets
DescriptionWas pleased to hear about the Hargreaves visit to Nigeria, and is interested about a Nigerian writer Kaiel ?Yarine who wrote about the importance of spoken languages in Nigeria. During Ramadan Adams prefers to give rice to a poor person each day instead of fasting, she does not see herself as a religious person, but believes that by including herself in the religion around her it allows her to understand others better.

Adams is working hard at the moment on a 'five year plan' for the federation, but intends to concentrate next week on her literacy programme. Has not written back to Ray about the idea to publish parts of her diary, as she would prefer it was not one of those life and times publications. Christian Aid has financed some of the film script, making it possible. However is sceptical that any director will agree to make the film.
