TitleAnatomical Variations occurring in Dissections at St Thomas's Hospital: vol. 1
Date1874 - 1878
Extent1 volume with enclosures
DescriptionVolume containing notes and illustrations of 'anatomical variations' observed by Reid in dissections undertaken at St Thomas's Hospital, London, sessions 1874 - 1875 to 1877 - 1878. With enclosures of same.

The volume appears to have been written up from brief notes and drawings taken during dissections (possibly those loose papers enclosed with the volume), but is none-the-less a fairly 'rough and ready' record of these cases. It may have been used as an 'aide memoire' in his teaching at St Thomas's. The variations are arranged under the broad headings of 'muscles', 'vessels: arteries', 'vessels: veins', 'nerves' and 'fascial, etc.'
