Administrative HistoryHamilton and his wife, Margaret W. Monro [pen - name 'Margot'], were both heavily involved in the Student's Representative Council [S.R.C.] when they were students at Aberdeen University. Hamilton entered the S.R.C. in 1932 and was responsible for convening Gala Week competitions, involved in reforming the Debating Society from 1933 and was a member of the S. R. C. Jubilee Celebrations Committee. Margaret was a member of the University's Women Students' Union.
Description'Gaudie' student newspaper, 14 November 1934, containing an article written by Hamilton entitled 'Gala Week 1934 a Failure'. Also includes a short biography of Hamilton's student life entitled 'Mr. G. F. Hamilton B. Sc. Came to 'Varsity as First Bursar'.
