Administrative History | Founded in honour of Sir Charles Scott Sherrington (1857-1952), physiologist, The Sherrington Memorial Lecture is considered one of the Royal Society of Medicine's most prestigious awards. Delivered every five years, it is devoted to the advancement of the sciences of neurology and physiology. Kosterlitz was invited to deliver the Sherrington Memorial Lecture on the Physiological Roles of Enkephalins and Endorphins in February 1982. |
