TitleLetter by the General to his wife Helen.
DateFebruary 2nd 1795
DescriptionThey have been traversing the country, and in some places the inhabitants have refused to admit them to their towns. They thought that they were 'to have had a dust' with the Dutch garrison at Coeverden. At Zwoll 'one of the most disaffected [sic] towns in Holland' the citizens refused their troops admittance, but eventually conceded that if they were forced to take troops they would have 'none but the Scotch Highlanders'.
