DescriptionLetter from Lieutenant-Colonel Adams giving an account of an action, in which the 74th and the 78th took part on the 29th November. The enemy lost 30 or 40 guns, elephants, camels, horses and a great quantity of baggage, and the writer expresses the hope that H. M. will allow the badges, authorised by Gen. Wellesley, to be placed on the colours of each regiment and to be retained there permanently. [Marked 'A20' in red letters]
