TitleLetter from Colonel Mackenzie from Fort George
DateJanuary 11th 1805
DescriptionSaying that it is his opinion, to avoid any temptation to desert 'en route', that the 2nd Battalion should be moved south by sea instead of marching. He also points out the need for clarity as regards which officers belonged to the 1st and which to the 2nd Battalions, as it was only fair to the officers to let them know who were likely to go to India.
