DescriptionAsking what he should do with a deserter, James Brown, an Irishman, who had been apprehended and who had been enlisted by Captain Dick on 24th June last. Captain Dick was reported to be indifferent about the man as there did not seem any chance of recovering any of the bounty money. He also passes on a request from Major Bowen hoping that his son could be sent out to India [Marked 'C17' in red.]
