Letters to Sir Thomas Burnett of Leys from Robert Burnett [later Lord Crimomd], in Edinburgh, almost entirely on legal and estate matters, 1636-51.

Letter to Sir Thomas Burnett from [?Robert Lord] Arbuthnott - 'we are to mairch from from Breichin upon Monday Godwilling without faill wherefor let your men be ther the said day be 10 houris give every ane of them10 merks for ther transport money as is appoynted be the act of the Committye and it will be aloued in youer tax and lone ........', 4 February 1644

[Sir Thomas] Burnett of Leyis to Hector Monro of Findone relating to obscure 'complentis' by Monro, 18 February 1645.

P[atrick] Maule to Sir Thomas Burnett concerning a vacancy in the church of Banchorrie. Maule claims that this is one of the churches of the abbey of Arbroath, disponed to him by the king; nevertheless he has refrained from making a new presentation to the church because he understands Burnett to 'pretent some right theirto'. He seeks details of Burnett's claims, 18 July 1644.

Extracts from barony courts of Leyis and Muchalis, first concerning a complaint by William Bissat in Kilduthie against William Imbrie there for wounding, 1 August 1689. The second concerning a number of minor matters, 22 November 1681.
