DescriptionLetter from Amelia Nyasa Laws to her parents, regarding Aunt's trust account to be opened to separate her affairs from Uncle's, news from Mr. Gray of George Barbour, who has left America to take up a teaching post in Pekin [Beijing], they are speculating as to the nature of the appointment, plans for going to Scotland to sort out the things in storage, Aunt Amy need not know too soon, Mme. Brunel has cut Amelia off from music in Metz, massage is not treated seriously, and she is growing tired, the civilian hospitals 'are deplorable' and Amelia should not subject Aunt to more worry in a foreign land, she wants to work in a hospital but the personalities are contaminating, she will be glad for Aunt's sake to go home but for herself she will be sorry to leave France, for in Scotland 'my name pursues me relentlessly'.
