DescriptionLetter from Amelia Nyasa Laws, Rome, to her parents, letting them know that the flat in Thirlestane Road has been sold for £775 and the money is waiting for their authorisation to invest it, when expenses are paid they may still have made only a slight loss, the £100 they sent in March is still untouched as in Rome they lived off the proceedings from the furnishings, the church has given them almost 5,000 francs, and another 5,000 came from furnishings and linen, but they are not to tell Aunt Amy, some is on deposit in Rome to pay Uncle's taxes and not to lose on the exchange, expenses of transporting the goods and insuring them, and the length of time they are expected to take to reach Paris, Amelia's salary is now guaranteed and Uncle Alec will be provided for, Aunt is all right at present, everything is coming together.
