TitleLetter from Amelia Nyasa Laws to her relatives
Date23 September 1916
Extent1 sheet
DescriptionLetter from Amelia Nyasa Laws, Hôpital Auxiliaire No. 10, Hotel Bristol, Aix-le-Bains, Savoie, France, to her relatives, regarding her standing in on her last day as nurse in Ward 1; her efforts to set up Mlle. Perolaz' position as outside the nursing sphere, rather than as a spare nurse; she is becoming more manageable and is kinder to the patients; Vinegar has accused Amelia of secretly massaging her patients; delicate case of a man with a cicatrice almost touching his heart; she refuses to give lessons to the other nurses as they are trying to take them just to say that they know as much as Mlle. Perolaz, not actually to learn; despite the situation she has enjoyed her work there.
