TitleLetter from Amelia Nyasa Laws to her relatives
Date13 August 1916
Extent2 sheets, damaged by fire
DescriptionLetter from Amelia Nyasa Laws, Hôpital Auxiliaire No. 10, Hotel Bristol, Aix-le-Bains, Savoie, France, to her relatives, regarding Aunt and Uncle's safe arrival; spending spare time with them; delicate work on pierced elbows and wrists; some work which the doctor passed on to Mlle. Perolaz took more time to supervise than it would have done to do, as it requires watching the student as well as the patient; quiet in the doctor's absence; Aunt and she saw Uncle off to Mürren and think the trip will do him good and give him a new interest; the trip seems to be concerned with receiving tubercular prisoners; Uncle is becoming less and less decisive; she will like Rome less than ever after her time at Aix; Aunt and she can see each other from their balconies; the patients know her now; the days are hot and close but the mornings and evenings are cool; Aix is full of visitors; thanks to Aunt Amy for letter.
