DescriptionLetter from Amelia Nyasa Laws, Metz, to her relatives, regarding installation at the Hopital des Diaconesses, description of room, delighted with its appearance and cleanliness, meals served in their room, description of serving of meals, it is well cooked but rather oniony for Aunt, huge windows but the lower part is only translucent and they feel trapped, too near the river and the rooms have been unused for a while and are very cold, the heat will be on soon, the rooms are cheap particularly considering the service, breakfast is delivered early, she is treating a case of articular rheumatism and will start another of general massage tomorrow, failed social engagement at Mme. Brunel's, Mme. Lange, one of the guests, is both cracked and all there, and deals abruptly with Mme. Brunel, to Amelia's amusement, winter church activity is beginning, Amelia has been asked to help at choir practice.
