| Custodial History | Many of the papers described in this sub-series relate to Alexander Low's research at the Anatomy Department, University of Aberdeen. They may have come into Lockhart's hands directly via Low (the two men were great friends and maintained a professional interest in each other's research throughout their lives), or, they may have been found in the Department and removed by Lockhart for safe-keeping. |
